Frame vs. Field

City and the sky: Perinthia

This city is built according to the 12 zodiacs, which is supposed to be blessed, but the people there are all distorted and become monsters. The reason could be there are some wrong calculation, or the order in the god's place is as chaotic as the order in this city. I will extend the second possibility into my perspective.
Old quad isometric

The whole old quad was not heavily reconstructed, to show how well the city was built. it elevated gradually from the right to the left, which refer to the last judgement, shows people's admiration of the god. The creaking on the left is trying to show the moving path of the "monster".
Notations

The observer travels in a to and fro way, he visits the "praying spot" on the top, and witness some supernatural events that reveal the true face of the "god" of the city. The Gaze arrows, which are those large arrows all point to the left-hand side of the old quad to show citizen's devout, and those small arrows represent the glance of the people. They point to a different direction, some are pointing to the events that are happening, that shows the tension of the citizen.
Perspective one

Perspective one shows a good build city in the daytime. The whole perspective can be divided into two components, the left-hand side is bright, people praying and the light from the Olympus mountain glow on them, everything seems hopeful and delightful. the right-hand side is relatively darker. The black cat sitting on the capital symbolised bad luck figures on this side are more intranquil. A female figure trying to run away from the city, but the end of the hall is a dead end. There is something in the dark side hiding. This city might look elegant form the outside but rot in the inside.
Perspective two

Perspective two is the nighttime of the city. The giant hand from the Olympus mountain in the sky is manipulating the city, all the monsters are called together. I try to use the idea of "out of frame" to show the horror the observer feels, so I only put some part of the monsters and try to make people who read this perspective imagine what will happen next instead of just seeing what was shown in this perspective.
